Case for Making
Case for Making is a San Francisco-based business that makes watercolors in-house. They commissioned me to produce white and lightly pigmented cotton rag watercolor paper using Venetian Red, a natural pigment. The task was to make sheets—in two different hues— that “read” as white until they are set against a true white sheet. I loved this project as it reminded me of the pastel drawing paper that was popular during the Renaissance.
The paper is available exclusively through Case for Making.
