Cacao Jute

Before there is a nib or even a bar of chocolate, the cocoa beans are shipped from the farms where they were grown to chocolate makers in San Francisco. Bags made from jute fiber, also known as burlap sacks, carried the beans on their long voyage before being transformed into this paper.

Our Cacao Jute Paper is created from the byproduct of one of our favorite food items produced right here in our neighborhood. The sheets have cacao bean husk inclusions which are leftover from the roasting process. Each batch is unique.
